How it plays

Tap it. Answer it. AUG IT.

The whole game is one move, and you learn it in the first ten seconds. Everything after that is deciding how big you want to go.

Your first ten minutes

Nobody explains anything. Nobody has to.

0:00

You're somebody straight away

No account wall, no email. Tap play and you have an avatar and a name like BrightOtter42. Three taps and the shirt is the color you want.

0:20

You're in Grant Park

Other players are already here, working. Help Wanted signs stand around the lawn: pick up litter, six pieces, 20 augies.

0:30

The first question

Tap the sign and the job starts where you stand. The nearest wrapper says 7 + 8. Tap it, type 15, AUG IT. The wrapper's gone, +1 pops over your head, and the phone gives a little thump.

1:30

Job done

Six wrappers later, a card: you earned 24, and the bonus is 20. Forty-four augies, and there's more litter on the lawn than when you started.

3:00

Greed kicks in

Some of the wrappers are orange and say 4. One of them is 4 × 5. Four wrappers' worth in one tap. You start hunting the orange ones.

6:00

A streak

A couple right in a row and a gold ×1.2 appears, and it climbs with every answer after that. Now there's a plan: bank the easy ones to build the streak, then use it on a big one.

10:00

Shopping

Into the Material Bazaar for four crates of red brick, then next door for a yellow hat. You're wearing it when you walk back into the park.

Nobody said “let's practice times tables.”
You just wanted the bigger number.

Answering

Right feels great. Wrong costs three seconds.

A keypad built for math slides up: fractions, negatives, the lot. Type your answer and hit AUG IT. Right, and it pays on the spot. Wrong, and you wait three seconds and your streak starts again. Your augies are safe, there's no fuss, try another.

Stuck on what a question even means? The ? on the card explains the idea behind it, never the answer. And when a sum has a big multiplication in it that isn't the point of the lesson, the pad hands you a calculator for that part.

Your level

From 1st grade to Calculus, in the same park.

Pick your grade and the questions fit you. Two friends can stand side by side, tap the same bottle, and each get a question at their own level.

±

Twelve kinds of math

Number, fractions, percentages, powers, equations, lines, functions, angles, measurement, coordinates, data and chance. The symbol on a thing tells you which.

↑

Ready for more?

When you're acing your grade, the game may suggest the next one up. It's a suggestion: you decide, and it never moves you down.

★

Harder pays better

A higher grade pays more for the same kind of question, so moving up feels like a reward, not a test.

Spending and building

Earn it. Shop for it. Build with it.

The plot is the calm room. Building asks no math of you at all. It spends what you already earned, so it's the perfect place to hang out with friends.

🏷

Prices you can see

Everything in a bazaar has a little shield beside it saying what it costs. Tap it to buy, it goes straight in your basket.

⚡

A few augies short?

The Top-off Booster offers a quick run of questions right there, each right answer in a row paying more than the last, until it's yours.

🧱

Tap and paint

Pick something from your basket and tap or paint it onto your plot. Walls, floors, roofs, lamps, a fountain. Hit Done when it looks right.

🎢

Rides and shows

Every place has experiences. Buy a ticket, take a seat, and ride the looping coaster in the Amusement Park from the seat.

👕

Look the part

Hats, shirts and more from the Cloth Bazaar, all paid for in augies. Feeling lucky? A lucky dip picks socks or a tee you don't own yet, at the shelf price.

🏠

Show it off

Your Pals can visit your plot, and you can visit theirs. That's what all the building is for.

Where next?

Have a look around.

Seven places, five bazaars, and a plot waiting for you.
